Summer Intern Jobs

 
 

Bike Wrangler - Responsible for maintaining mountain bikes and supervising the Summer Staff that will be operating rides.

Cook - Responsible for assisting Food Service Manager in quality food preparation while maintaining a safe work environment, clean-up and other food related duties.  Also acts as a liaison between work crew and kitchen staff.

EMT/First Responder - Cares for all people on the grounds relative to health and accident needs.  Will provide onsite first aid and evaluation of injured.  Also responsible for Infirmary operation and required documentation of all injuries.   Must have a current EMT Certification.

Guest Services – Responsible for program support and meeting the needs of adult guests, assigned team, etc.  Requires, dependability, a proactive attitude to anticipate needs, and technical aptitude to operate audio / video equipment.

Horse Wrangler – Responsible for care of horses, tack, and corral.  Also responsible for leading trail rides and supervising Summer Staff.  Must be willing to work long days.  Horse experience required.

Maintenance - Needs basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general repair knowledge.  Must be a self starter and disciplined in work habits.  Dependability and attention to detail are critical.  Must be available on call for repairs.

Office – Responsible for supervising summer office staff and maintaining professional service for parents, campers, assigned teams, field staff, vendors, etc..  Also responsible for aiding in the communication of logistics, schedules, payments, and emergency reports among staff.

Nurse (LPN) – Cares for all people on property relative to health and accident needs.  Will provide onsite first aid and evaluation of injured.  Also responsible for Infirmary operation and required documentation of all injuries.  Will work with EMT and attending weekly physician.

Ridge Runners - Responsible for the safety, training, operation and maintenance of the ridge runner vehicles, track and facilities.  The individual will manage the day-to-day activities of summer staff assigned to this area.

Ropes - Responsible for the safety, training, operation and maintenance of the ropes course facilities.  The individual will have a Certified Operators license and manage the day-to-day activities of summer staff assigned to this area.

Sound / Program Technician - Must have an understanding of audio-visual equipment. The individual will work very closely with the Program teams in support of A/V needs.

Store / Snack Bar - Previous retail experience required.  Responsible for the supervision of summer staff personnel and for sales of store, snack bar, and vending.  Includes promotion of sales through display, daily cleaning, re-stocking and daily deposit/close outs.

Video Technician - Must have an understanding of audio-visual equipment (mini-DV camera and Final Cut Pro).  Responsible for recording, editing, and copying weekly camp videos. A three day training in Final Cut Pro is provided.

Waterfront Director - Must have current Lifesaving and CPR Certification.  Responsible for the safety, operation and maintenance of the swimming pool, waterfront and surrounding areas.  Responsibilities will include maintaining waterfront equipment and cleaning.
